Lydia Charak is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy. She completed a Master’s Degree in Expressive Arts Therapy with a minor in Psychology at the European Graduate School in Switzerland and is a graduate from The CREATE Institute of Expressive Arts Therapy in Toronto. She is also a member of OEATA (Ontario Expressive Art Therapy Association). In addition, Lydia has a BSc. in Psychology and Criminology from University of Toronto and a BAA (Hons) in Media Arts from Ryerson University. She continues to keep her practice current and relevant through ongoing training in latest therapeutic methods.
Lydia has a private practice in Toronto’s east end where she sees clients wishing to explore issues of trauma, life transitions, grief/loss, stress, self-esteem, depression and anxiety. She also works with individuals wishing to work with dreams, the concept of legacy and a desire to be more creative. Informed by a foundation in visual arts, poetry and the study of dreams, Lydia brings a unique and sensitive approach to therapeutic sessions.
