Mariya Garnet
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifyng), ExATBiography
I work with adults in Ontario who understand their patterns but can’t seem to change them. People who function well on the outside while feeling numb, disconnected, or chronically braced on the inside. The territory I know well is complex trauma, childhood emotional neglect, dissociation, and the body-based patterns that talk therapy alone hasn’t been able to shift.
My approach combines somatic psychotherapy, expressive arts, and NARM. We work with sensation, breath, movement, and creative expression alongside conversation. This integration is shaped by years of training and by lived experience in plant medicine traditions, ceremony, and land-based healing in South America. That background lives in how I work as a way of listening, not as a separate offering.
Based in Thornbury, Ontario. Sessions are online across the province. Free 20-minute consultation.
