Melanie Nesbitt is a Registered Psychotherapist and Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist. She graduated from York University and the European Graduate School. Melanie has over 30 years’ experience working with the arts as a psychotherapist, teacher, and supervisor. In her private practice she sees people of all ages, individually and in small groups. She helps clients deal with trauma, relationship issues, grief and loss; that may lead to stress, anxiety, depression, and panic. She has helped children who demonstrate separation anxiety and those diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome; and adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors confronted with life changes that impact on their normal activities. She is adjunct faculty at the CREATE Institute, in their training program in expressive arts therapy. Melanie’s artistic training includes years of performing in dance, music, drama and voice. She is a founding member of the Ontario Expressive Arts Therapy Association (www.oeata.ca).
