Purpose of OEATA

1. Define and develop the field of Expressive Arts Therapy

2. Describe the services offered by qualified Expressive Arts Therapists

3. Serve as a reference for health care professionals, educators, other professionals, consumers, and members of the general public

4. Serve as a reference for government policy makers concerned with legislation, regulation, and third party reimbursement

All members of OEATA are bound by the OEATA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice to provide services that are consistent with member competence, education, and experience in the interest of safeguarding the public.
