Bonnie L. Nish
Dr.Biography
Dr. Bonnie Nish is a certified Expressive Arts Therapist, educator, and writer with over 20 years of experience leading workshops across North America. She is Executive Director of Word Vancouver, teaches at UBC, and serves on the faculty of the Vancouver Expressive Arts Therapy School, where she supervises theses. Bonnie creates safe, creative spaces for expression and growth and has extensive experience supporting individuals and groups in high-risk situations.
I work with youth and adults, including those who are neurodivergent, people affected by various traumas such as evacuations due to fires, and caregivers/supporters of people with illnesses or MTBI. Many of my clients are seeking personal growth, self-discovery, or a creative reset, and want to reconnect with their resilience, creativity, and inner strengths
I create a safe, compassionate, and creative space where you can explore your emotions and safely express yourself. Through expressive arts therapy and practical approaches, I help you gain insight, connect with your strengths, and move forward with clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll uncover fresh possibilities and new ways of being.
