Biography

Living on the west coast of British Columbia, offers challenging activities and explorations. Academic challenges began at Simon Fraser University where Faye attained a Bachelor of Arts (1st class honours) in psychology. Then she was granted a Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy from the University of British Columbia. While pursuing the latter degrees Faye worked as a researcher at Forensic Psychiatric Services and InfoWest Consultants.

After graduation Faye provided services to correctional institutions, including training staff regionally and nationally about mental health issues. She also taught at a community college. At a sovereign Coast Salish First Nation, Faye worked with children and families within their community and culture.

Faye has a private practice where she provides various mental health services: counselling, educational trainings, experiential workshops, and consultation for mental health professionals.

Exploring nature with others has been a lifelong pursuit.
