I believe in play and spontaneous expression as a life force. Something that can gently open us, move us, and reconnect us to parts of ourselves that may have been tucked away. It can also bring us into a deeper sense of who we are.
My work is guided by curiosity, imagination, and following what feels alive. In individual sessions and groups, we might explore a question, something you’re working through, a life theme, create a simple ritual, or follow a need to play (if you’re an adult—yes, you). We might try out different combinations of gesture, rhythm, mark-making, painting, poetry, found objects, role-play, or storytelling, to uncover your strengths and new perspectives. You show up as you are, and we work with what feels comfortable, gently stretching into what feels possible. I also draw on somatic awareness and inner child/parts work to support a more connected relationship with yourself.
With a background in nursing and hospice counselling, I’ve spent time alongside people moving through grief, illness, and life transitions. I’ve also facilitated expressive arts groups in community and senior settings, including work with adults living with the impacts of violence and trauma.
I’m based in the Newmarket area and offer individual sessions and groups, in person and online. If you’d like to connect, you can reach me by email.
