Katie Grossman
Certified Expressive Arts Therapist (ExAT), BABiography
Katie Grossman (she/her) is a certified Expressive Arts Therapist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her work is rooted in the belief that the arts are for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or socio-economic status. Her interdisciplinary, narrative-based approach reconnects clients with their imagination and sense of play, allowing them to access their inner world in a greater capacity.
Her practice provides clients a safe, trauma-informed space to explore any issue or goal through creative writing, drama, imaginative play, storytelling, and a variety of visual art mediums. Katie specializes in helping her clients work through depression, stress/anxiety, body-image trauma, and repairing connection to creativity. She prides herself on being well-informed on LGBTQ* social justice issues to meet the unique therapeutic needs of individuals in this community.
In addition to her work as an ExAT, Katie brings over 10 years experience working with children (ages 3-14), as well as in the performing arts. She currently has an online practice via Zoom and hopes to offer in-person sessions in the near future. You can connect with her via phone/text, email, or Instagram.
