Dr Keith Thurlow-Bishop, MA, MSc, PhD, RCC-ACS, RCAT, REAT
Registered Expressive Arts Therapist & Clinical Supervisor The Wildwood Creative RecoveryBiography
I am an English speaking Registered Expressive Arts Therapist (REAT), Registered Canadian Art Therapist and Supervisor (RCAT-S) and Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) currently living and working respectfully and mindfully on the unceded ancestral lands of the Anishanaabe, Haudenosaunee, Huron-Wendat, and Iroquois Peoples of Canada. I have been working in the field of mental health since 1990, and have worked with people healing from trauma and concurrent issues relating to mood, addictions, eating disorders, and personality disorders. I have a particular interest in working with 2SLGBTQ+ and Indigenous peoples, and strive to make my practice inviting, accessible, sensitive, relevant, and effective. I am on faculty at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute, where I am Chair of Supervision and on the Leadership Team, and was previously a Clinical Supervisor for the Art Therapy Program at Adler University for five years. I am also a Certified Nature-Based Therapist. I am an artist, musician, gardener, and follow a nature-based spiritual practice.
