Stephanie Shochat-Gruss is an internationally recognized therapist, coach, consultant, educator and community artist offering cutting edge Expressive Arts Therapy and Feng Shui Services facilitating change, clarity, new perspective and connectivity for you, your family and your organization.

With over 20 years experience in the transformative power of art engagement and balancing spaces, she helps clients to meet challenges in them and their environment with greater ease and joy.

With Expressive Arts Therapy she guides her client to interact with materials, painting, writing, movement or music, helping you discover qualities of meaning, inner wisdom, clarity and a new horizons unveiling what wasn’t accessible before.

In her Feng shui consultations she improves the flow of energy in a residential, commercial or public space to support specific activities intended for a space and to increase qualities of life and work that are cherished. She works with individual clients as well as corporations, entrepreneurs, government departments and community services.

She was the founder and director of Balancing Spaces from 2004-2018, expanded her services in Sept 2018 and changed the name to Expressive Arts Space.

She was born in Germany. Her diverse background includes studies and work in dressmaking, costume and set design, fine arts, healing arts and therapy. She received an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy from European Graduate School, a diploma in Psychotherapy and Stress Management from the Humaniversity in Netherland, a Reiki Teacher certification, a certificate for Feng Shui Consulting from the Kushi Institute in Amsterdam, NL and from Feng Shui Dynamics in Montreal, QC and a certificate for dowsing in Sherbrooke, QC.

Stephanie has gained a deep understanding of the mental, emotional and physical stress people are faced with through traveling, practising meditation and meeting various clients in the depth of their being by facilitating an art studio for mentally handicapped adults and youth, being a caregiver to seniors for several years and working as an Educational Assistant with special needs children especially those with ASD in classrooms of Edmonton Catholic Schools in Edmonton. She co-facilitated ArtSpace in the drop-in at Boyle Street Community Services that engages community members into art making and invites citizens in public events to participate in the creation of large mandalas on the pavement engaging people to break down barriers in themselves and towards others, have a sense of belonging through being part of oneness art and reignite a sense of peace and deeper knowledge in their heart in hectic city life. Her home base is in Edmonton, AB
